What is Fargo?

Fargo is a virtual assistant that is available in the Wells Fargo Mobile® app. It is available 24/7 to help with your everyday banking questions.

What can I do with Fargo?

You can speak or type to ask Fargo to help with things like:

  • Providing insights into spending
  • Moving money, including transferring between accounts6 and sending money with Zelle®
  • Updating account and card settings

What can Fargo answer?

You can speak or type to ask Fargo questions you might have related to managing or servicing your account(s). For example, you can type in “what's my routing number?” or “help me find a transaction” and Fargo will find the information you requested.

Who is able to use Fargo?

Fargo is currently available to Wells Fargo consumer customers only. Fargo will expand to Small Business customers and Investing & Wealth Management clients in the future.

How can I get Fargo?

Fargo is available exclusively in the Wells Fargo Mobile® app for smartphones. Be sure to turn on automatic updates because that is the easiest way to get the latest updates, like Fargo, as soon as they are available. If you don't see the Fargo icon in the app, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the app. If you don't have the app, visit your favorite app store today to download it.

How does Fargo work?

Simply sign on to the latest version of the Wells Fargo Mobile® app and select the purple Fargo logo at the top of the screen. You can select from a list of options or speak or type in your own question to Fargo.

What happens if Fargo can't answer my question?

If Fargo can't answer your question, Fargo will direct you to Customer Service to speak with someone who can help.

In what language is Fargo available?

At this time Fargo is available in English only, but Fargo is planned to launch in Spanish later in 2023.

Can I access Fargo on a computer or tablet?

No. Fargo is exclusively available within the mobile app for smartphones and is not available on a computer or tablet.

Can I talk to Fargo?

Yes, you can speak or type your questions to Fargo, and Fargo provides typed responses.

How does Fargo work with Google?

Fargo uses Dialogflow, Google Cloud's conversational AI platform, to help quickly understand and respond to your questions.
