Why are you converting me to Autograph?

The Autograph Card is our best 3X rewards2 card ever. Because we will no longer be servicing the Wells Fargo Propel Credit Card, we will be moving your product to our Wells Fargo Autograph Visa® Credit Card. You’ll now earn unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular streaming services, and phone plans, which is an additional points category not offered by your Propel card. Your new card will also be accepted at more than 100 million merchants in over 200 countries worldwide.

Why is my Propel Card going away?

Unfortunately, we will no longer be servicing the Wells Fargo Propel Credit Card for existing customers; because of this change, we will be moving your product to our Wells Fargo Autograph Visa® Credit Card. Autograph is our best 3X rewards2 card ever so we think this is good news because you’ll now earn unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular steaming services, and phone plans. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases.2

Why am I receiving a new card?

You’re receiving a new Autograph Card because your account is being converted, and as of May 24, 2023, we will no longer service the Wells Fargo Propel Credit Card brand for existing customers.

Can I request to keep my Wells Fargo Propel Credit Card?

No, in the coming months Wells Fargo will no longer be servicing Wells Fargo Propel Card accounts. We want to thank you for your continued business so we will be replacing your current card with our Autograph Card so you can earn unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular steaming services, and phone plans. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases2 as you use your card. Enjoy all of your new card features, benefits, and more with no annual fee.3

What if I don’t want to receive a new Autograph Card or be moved? What can I do?

We’re sorry you do not want to move to a new product. With our Autograph Card, you’ll earn unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular steaming services, and phone plans. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases.2 However, if you still don’t want the Autograph Card, you can opt out of the changes by calling 1-866-568-6521. If you opt out of the changes, you will no longer be able to use your account for new transactions and your account will be closed. Please note that if you have an outstanding balance on your Wells Fargo Propel account on May 24, 2023, you will still be issued an Autograph account number to continue making payments.

Can I use Apple Pay® or any other mobile wallet with my new card?

Yes, to use your Wells Fargo Autograph Card with a digital wallet4 like Apple Pay® , Google Pay™ , or Samsung Pay, go to Wells Fargo’s Digital Wallets page and select the mobile wallet you’d like to use. Then follow the directions to add and activate your card in that mobile wallet.

How can I add my new card to my phone’s digital wallet4 app?

To use your Wells Fargo Autograph Card with a digital wallet like Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, or Samsung Pay, go to Wells Fargo’s Digital Wallets page and select the mobile wallet you’d like to use. Then follow the directions to add and confirm your card in that mobile wallet.4

When will my new card arrive? Will it have a different account number?

Your new Autograph Card should arrive by the end of June. Your new card will have a different account number, expiration date, and CVV code than the current card. Ensure you update any recurring payments and your new card in your digital wallet.4

How is this new Autograph Card different from my previous Wells Fargo Propel Credit Card?

You’ll now earn unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular steaming services, and phone plans — which is an additional category not included on your Propel card. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases.2 Your rewards don’t expire as long as your account remains open. You can redeem rewards as a credit to your account, gift cards, flights, hotels, and more. Best of all, all the convenient benefits and security features come with $0 annual fee.3

Why are you switching me from American Express to Visa?

Unfortunately, we will no longer be servicing the Wells Fargo Propel Credit Card for existing customers; because of this change, we will be moving your product to our Wells Fargo Autograph Visa® Credit Card. Autograph is our best 3X rewards2 card ever so we think this is good news. With your new Autograph Card, in addition to earning unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular steaming services, and phone plans, and 1X points on other purchases,2 you’ll also enjoy all of the following benefits:3

Will my minimum payment change?

No, your minimum payment calculation will not change.

Once I receive my new card, what open date will my new card show?

Your new card will show your original open date, carried over from your old account.

Account management and rewards

Can I close my account and how?

Yes, you can close your account and opt out of the changes by calling 1-866-568-6521. If you have an outstanding balance, you are required to continue making your monthly payments until the balance is paid off. However, our Autograph Card is our best 3X rewards2 card ever and stacks up to the competition. By keeping your account, you’ll earn unlimited 3X points2 restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular steaming services, and phone plans. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases,2 and you can take advantage of additional card features and benefits that come with Autograph.

Will I receive a new card if I close my account?

If you opt out of the changes before May 19, 2023, we will not issue you a new Autograph Card. If you have a balance when you close, you will receive a new Autograph account number.

Do I have to make payments if I have closed my account?

Yes, if you have an outstanding balance on your current account, you will still be required to make payments. A new Autograph Visa account number will be issued to enable you to continue making monthly payments. The Autograph account will have a status of closed so you will not receive a new card.

If my account is closed, how do I make payments?

You can make payments by calling the number on the back of your card. You will continue to receive monthly statements and you can use any method listed on the monthly statements to make payments. You can also send your payments (please include your account number on your check) by mail to the following address:

Is my account number changing?

Yes, you will see your new Autograph account number and product name change beginning on May 24, 2023. These changes will be reflected on any billing statements mailed or delivered to you after this date.

Are my account terms changing, e.g., APR, credit line, fees, etc.?

No, your APR and credit line are not changing3. For more information about the important changes to your account, you can call the number on the back of your card if you have more questions.

Will I be eligible for a new rewards bonus offer or introductory Annual Percentage Rates?

This is not a new account opening and not eligible for a new rewards bonus offer or new introductory annual percentage rates.

Will I still earn and receive 3X rewards points on net purchases for flights, hotels, car rentals, and popular streaming services?

Once your account is converted to the new Autograph Card on May 24, 2023, you’ll earn unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular streaming services, and phone plans — which is an additional category not included on your Propel card. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases2, so we hope this good news will improve your banking experience.

What will happen with my annual relationship bonus that I have with my Propel 365 and/or Propel World Credit Card account?

Once your account is converted to the new Autograph Card on May 24, 2023, your annual relationship bonus that you previously had with your Propel Card will go away and no longer be offered. Your relationship bonus will be paid through April. You will receive your bonus amount on your anniversary date or after your Propel Card deactivates on 08/04/2023, whichever comes first.

Moving forward with Autograph, you will now earn unlimited 3X points2 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular streaming services, and phone plans. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases.2 We hope this good news will improve your banking experience.

What will happen to the $100 airline incidental reimbursement I received with my Propel World account?

Once your account is converted to the new Autograph Card on May 24, 2023, your airline incidental reimbursement credit will no longer be offered.

Can I still access the AmEx CONNECT site after my card is converted?

The AmEx CONNECT site will no longer be available as of May 31, 2023.

How do my points transfer over to my new account when I am converted?

If you have a rewards balance, it will be transferred automatically to your new Autograph Card.

What if I return something I bought on my old card? Will that be refunded to my new Autograph Card?

Payments and merchant refunds will transfer from your old card account to your new card account automatically.

How do I pay my bill moving forward?

Moving forward, you can pay your bill:

  • When you receive your new Autograph Credit Card and account number, you can sign on to Wells Fargo Online® and make a payment online
  • By mail (please include your account number on your check)

How can I make payment for my Wells Fargo Propel Card balance after May 24, 2023?

You can make a payment to your account by one of the following:

  • Signing on to Wells Fargo Online® and making a payment online. You may need your new card and account number to enroll if you have not already enrolled in Wells Fargo Online.

When will changes show on my monthly billing statement?

You will see your new Autograph account number and product name change beginning on May 24, 2023. Any billing statements mailed or delivered to you after May 24, 2023 will reflect these changes.

Where can I find my new billing statement?

Billing statements for your new Autograph account can be found by logging into Wells Fargo Online®. You can also have billing statements mailed to you.

Can I see my new account number in Wells Fargo Online®?

Yes, you will see your new Autograph account number and product name change starting May 24, 2023. Your account will be included, and you will see it displayed once you log into Wells Fargo Online®.

How do I access my Autograph account online?

For secure online access to your account, simply log into Wells Fargo Online® to manage your account.

How do I switch to online statements with my new Autograph Card?10

Wells Fargo Online® comes with the ability to receive and view statements for most of your accounts online. Simply enroll to set up a username and password to access your personal and business accounts online.

If you already have a username and password, sign on to view your statements online. Or, to change how you wish to receive your statements and other documents, access Manage Delivery Preferences from Statements and Documents.

How do I set up Automatic Payments11 on my new Autograph Card?

Set up and manage your automatic payments online. Once you have your account, sign in or enroll in Wells Fargo Online®, go to Transfer & Pay and select Pay WF Accounts to set up your automatic payments. Or call the number on the back of your card to request an enrollment form. Choose to pay the minimum amount, your balance in full, or a specified dollar amount.

What happens to recurring payments I established with other merchants?

Please be sure to update merchants that regularly charge your account (like health clubs and utilities) with your new account number, CVV, and expiration date. Once you receive your new card, please remember to update your account information with your new Autograph account number with merchants to avoid any disruptions.

How can I access past statements?

To access any past statements after your account is converted on May 24, 2023, you will need to call the number on the back of your card to request them.

I had a chargeback pending on my old card, what will happen to that?

All prior transactions/chargebacks that were made on your old card will carry over to your new account once it is converted and will be reflected on your statement. If you still have questions, contact us by calling the number on the back of your card.

General information

Do I need to request a new PIN for cash advances?

No, you can continue to use the PIN number that was assigned to your old Wells Fargo Propel Credit Card.

What if I have forgotten my PIN?

If you forget your PIN, please call the number on the back of your card.

Can I sign up to have alerts12 on my new Autograph Card sent to my phone or email address? Do I need to do anything?

Yes, when you receive your new Autograph Card, you will need to sign on to Wells Fargo Online® and go to Manage Alerts. Choose an account for which you want to add alerts, check the boxes to select specific alerts, entering in dollar thresholds and frequency of alerts where appropriate, and save your edits.

What if I don’t want to be converted to Autograph and close my account. Will this affect my credit bureau score?

There are several factors on which your credit score is based. We cannot determine what impact, if any, this change will have on your report or score.

After I receive my new card, will my old account show as closed on my credit bureau report?

No. The information from your old Amex account number will be associated with your new Autograph account number.

What type of alerts12 can I set up?

Receive notifications by email or text message for a variety of activities to help you monitor and manage your account, including:

  • Payment due and posted
  • Approaching credit limit
  • Purchases exceeding a set amount
  • Foreign transactions
  • Online, phone, or mail purchases

If we detect suspicious card activity, we may reach out to you by phone or text asking you to verify one or more suspicious transactions. You do not need to enroll to receive this alert.

My new card hasn’t arrived yet, should I be concerned?

Your new Autograph Card should arrive by the end of June. If you have not received it by then, please call us at 1-866-568-6521.

How do I confirm my new card?

When your new Autograph Card arrives, you can scan the QR code on the card carrier letter with your mobile phone camera. You can also visit wellsfargo.com/confirmcard or call 1-866-537-8424.

What should I do with my previous card after it’s deactivated?

Once you receive your new Autograph Card, please confirm your card, begin using it immediately upon arrival, and securely destroy your old card. If your new card carrier package came with a return envelope enclosed, please use that to return your card(s) to Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. for secure disposal.

How do I add an authorized user to my new card?

First, if you already have authorized users on your current card, those authorized users will be transferred to your new card automatically. You will receive cards for each user on the account.

Second, if you wish to add additional authorized users:

  • Enroll or sign on to Wells Fargo Online® by visiting wellsfargo.com/online-banking
  • Go to the Credit Card Service Center and select Add Authorized Users to Your Account under Account Management.
  • By phone. Call the number on the back of your card.

Account holders are responsible for repayments of all debts on the account, including all transactions made by authorized users. This includes any balance transfers and cash advances, including any Overdraft Protection amounts advanced, made by any authorized users added to the account.

How do I view my new credit card balance?

Enroll or sign on to Wells Fargo Online® to see your credit card balance, add card services, transfer funds, and more.

If you are not enrolled in Wells Fargo Online, enroll now. Note, to enroll, you will need your Wells Fargo Autograph Credit Card with new account number.

If you are enrolled in Wells Fargo Online and don’t see your credit card account online, simply sign on to Wells Fargo Online and go to Add Account. If you do not see your credit card account in the Add Account dropdown list, please call 1-800-956-4442.
