Here are some questions you may have about the upcoming move to the Autograph Visa Card on February 7, 2026.

Card conversion

When will I receive my Autograph Visa Card, and when can I start using it?

You’ll receive your Autograph Visa Card by early February 2026. Although it’s mailed early to ensure timely delivery, it can only be confirmed and used starting February 7, 2026. If you attempt to use the Autograph Visa Card before February 7, 2026, the transaction will be declined.

What is the timeline for this conversion?

Your new Autograph Visa Card will be delivered by early February 2026. You may confirm and begin to use your Autograph Visa Card on February 7, 2026.

What is the Autograph Visa Card?

The Autograph Visa Card is a Wells Fargo credit card offering unlimited 3X Wells Fargo pointsFootnote1 on restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular streaming services, and phone plans. You’ll also receive 1X Wells Fargo pointsFootnote1 on other purchases.

Why do I need a new card?

As previously communicated by Bilt, Wells Fargo and Bilt are ending our partnership and Bilt is launching a new card program, Bilt 2.0, with a new banking partner. Because of this, your existing Bilt Mastercard account with Wells Fargo will be automatically converted to an Autograph Visa Card on February 7, 2026. For more information on your options to transition to a Bilt 2.0 Card, visit bilt.com.

What if I don’t want a new card?

Your existing Bilt Mastercard will automatically convert to a new Autograph Visa Card on February 7, 2026, whether or not you choose to obtain a new Bilt 2.0 Card.

If you have an outstanding balance on your current Bilt Mastercard account, it will transfer to your new Autograph Visa Card. You will still be required to make payments to Wells Fargo until the balance is paid off.

You can close your account at any time. If you do not wish to keep the Autograph Visa Card, please call 1-833-404-2272 after February 7, 2026 to close your Wells Fargo account.

How do I dispose of my existing Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard?

A return envelope will be provided when the Autograph Visa Card arrives. You may place your existing Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard into the envelope and return it to us for destruction.

Will I have a new account number on my Wells Fargo Autograph Visa Card?

Yes, upon conversion to your new Wells Fargo Autograph Visa Card, you’ll have a new card account number, security code (the three-digit number on the back of your card), and expiration date.Footnote4 If you obtain a Bilt 2.0 Card, please visit bilt.com for more information on your Bilt 2.0 Card number.

What will happen to my Bilt Rewards?

This change will not impact your Bilt membership, points balance, or how you access Bilt Rewards, subject to Bilt’s Terms and Conditions. For more information on your options to transition to a Bilt 2.0 Card, visit bilt.com.

Can I pay rent with the Autograph Visa Card?

Yes, if credit cards are accepted. Please note that you may be charged a transaction fee if you choose to pay rent with the Autograph Visa Card via Bilt, or directly with your rental provider.

Will switching to the Autograph Visa Card affect my credit score or credit history?

The conversion itself won’t negatively impact your credit score. Your account age and credit history from your existing Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard will carry over. However, closing your account may affect your score.

My new card hasn’t arrived yet. Should I be concerned?

Your new Autograph Visa Card will arrive by February 6, 2026. If you haven’t received your new card by then, call the number on the back of your existing Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard.

Will account alerts set up on my existing Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard transfer over to my new Autograph Visa Card account?

Yes, your alertsFootnote5 will transfer to your new Autograph Visa Card account.

What if I have an open claim for a benefit on my current Bilt Mastercard?

Open claims for current benefits will be processed through to completion. Please contact the benefit provider if you have any questions regarding your claim.

What if I need to submit a claim for an eligible purchase made prior to February 7, 2026?

Claims for purchases made prior to February 7, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time) with your current Bilt Mastercard should be submitted according to the terms in your current Mastercard Guide to Benefits. For questions about submitting a claim, please call 1-800-316-8051.

Will my card be a Visa or Mastercard?

The new card will be a Visa, not a Mastercard.

Will I need to confirm my new Autograph Visa Card?

Yes, you will need to confirm your Autograph Visa Card, but it cannot be confirmed and subsequently used until February 7, 2026. Your card mailer will have instructions on how to confirm.

What rewards and benefits will I have with my new Autograph Visa Card?

  • Pay with rewards: Check out with PayPal and use your rewards for all or part of your eligible purchases.Footnote6

  • Gift cards: Redeem for e-gift cards in increments as low as $10.

Will I still have access to the Bilt Rewards program?

This change will not impact your Bilt membership, points balance, or how you access Bilt Rewards, subject to Bilt’s Terms and Conditions. However, you will no longer be able to access your Wells Fargo account from Bilt’s app or website, and will instead manage your Autograph Visa Card directly through Wells Fargo. How do I close my existing Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard account?

You can close your Wells Fargo account at any time by calling 1-833-404-2272. Please note, if you are planning to sign up for the Bilt 2.0 Card, closing your Bilt Mastercard ahead of February 7, 2026 may impact your experience.

Will I still be able to view my Bilt Mastercard transaction history?

Yes, all transactions made prior to February 7, 2026 on your existing Bilt Mastercard will carry over to your new Autograph Visa Card account once it is converted and will be reflected on your Autograph Visa Card statement.

Do I need to request a new PIN for cash advances?

Yes, you will need to request a new PIN that will be assigned to your new Autograph Visa Card.

If my account is closed, how do I make payments?

You can make payments by calling the number on the back of your card. You will continue to receive monthly statements, and you can use any method listed on the monthly statements to make payments. You can also send your payments (please include your account number on your check) by mail to the following addresses:

What if I don’t want to be converted to an Autograph Visa Card and close my account. Will this affect my credit bureau score?

There are several factors on which your credit score is based. We cannot determine what impact, if any, this change will have on your report or score.

Can I move some or all of my credit limit to another eligible Wells Fargo credit card?

After February 7, 2026 you may initiate a credit line reallocation by calling 1-866-229-6633.

When will coverage end for the benefits on my current Bilt World Elite Mastercard?

Coverage for current Bilt World Elite Mastercard benefits will be effective through February 6, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time) or until you close your account, whichever comes first.

What if I need to submit a claim for an eligible purchase made prior to closing my account or the conversion date on February 7, 2026?

Claims for purchases made with your Bilt World Elite Mastercard prior to the date you closed your Bilt account or converted to the Wells Fargo Autograph Visa Card on February 7, 2026 should be submitted according to the terms in your current Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card Guide to Benefits. What if I have an open claim for a benefit on my current Bilt World Elite Mastercard?

Online banking, billing, and payments

Will my Wells Fargo online banking access change?

No, your Wells Fargo online banking access will remain the same. 

Will my APR or fees change with the new Wells Fargo Autograph Visa Card?

No, the APR and fees on your Wells Fargo Autograph Visa Card will remain the same as your current Wells Fargo issued Bilt Mastercard.Footnote3 If you wish to see your options to transition to a Bilt 2.0 Card, including APRs or fees associated with those cards, visit bilt.com.

What happens to recurring payments I established with other merchants?

If you would like any existing merchant charges (e.g., recurring payments or subscriptions) to be charged to your new Autograph Visa Card, you will need to update the card number on file with those merchants with your new Autograph Visa Card details. Failure to do so may result in failed transactions with those merchants.

Will my digital wallet (Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, or Samsung Pay) need to be updated?

You will need to update your digital walletFootnote16 with the new Autograph Visa Card details if you’d like to move transactions to this new card. Go to Wells Fargo’s Digital Wallets page and select the mobile wallet you’d like to use. Then follow the directions to add and confirm your card in that mobile wallet.

What happens to my outstanding balance if I close my account?

If your account has an outstanding balance on February 6, 2026, the account and outstanding balance will transfer to your new Autograph Visa Card. You will need to repay any outstanding balance according to the terms of the Autograph Visa Card. If you are considering transferring the current balance on your card to the Bilt 2.0 Card, visit bilt.com for more information.

What if I have issues confirming my Autograph Visa Card?

The Autograph Visa Card can be confirmed starting February 7, 2026. You may confirm your card at wellsfargo.com/confirm. If you have issues confirming the card after this date, please contact Wells Fargo customer service.

Can I choose a different Wells Fargo card instead of the Autograph Visa Card?

No, this conversion only applies to the Autograph Visa Card. You may apply separately for other Wells Fargo cards.

Will there be any downtime in my Wells Fargo online account access?

Your existing Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard account can be accessed through Wells Fargo online banking or the mobile app until February 5, 2026. Your Wells Fargo Autograph Visa Card will be available after you confirm your card on February 7, 2026. Your online account for your Autograph Visa Card will be available within 24 to 48 hours after February 7, 2026. Why am I receiving another Autograph Visa Card if I already have one, and can I combine the accounts?

You’re receiving a second Autograph Visa Card because your existing Bilt Mastercard is being converted to an Autograph Visa Card. Each card is a separate account with its own credit line, statement, and due date. These accounts cannot be combined.

How do I manage two Autograph Visa Cards, and are the benefits and rewards the same?

You can manage both cards through Wells Fargo online banking or the mobile app, where each will appear as a separate account. Rewards from both cards cannot be combined for redemption through the rewards portal.
